Round 3 Match 3
It was the best of weeks, it was the worst of weeks. Every team had a battle at stake, and some of us had several.
Barrie Ice gets the dubious honour of having the first team to lose points because of a squash, knocking his team off their pedestal, and into 6th place. Vicbear has the unironic honour of having the first and only present team to clear round three with no icons eliminated. This, coupled with her squash victories (two, count 'em, two), gives her the same comfortable looking lead now.
And to the South of the board, one team is first to have had removed any potential future voting bias, with all icons now elimiated (including our first defeated captain). Say it with me: Ahhh Crap!
As usual, I invite corrections.

I've got to say. Even though I in dead last without a chance of moving anywhere, I am very impressed with the grid.

Yeah. I have to admit that though I was disappointed to see one of my own knocked out, it made the experience of voting (in that category) kind of liberating!

Don't worry my friend, it's all in good fun. I just happen to work at a place where I've got 300 or so summer staff working under me. It is recruitment at it's finest. I've got them in teams of 2 to 5 people and had them come up with some single word usernames that, when strung together, will highlight the coordination of the effort we are putting in to swing the vote.
My assumption is that A-Bear will be proud of the fact that the site is drawing so much attention. However, if he over rules the votes because of the sheer number and blatant misuse of authority, I will completely understand.

That's a very good question. I think I will have to base my decision on how many each player has left. If you've got two, and another player has three, I'll vote against the person with three to even the playing field.
this is where i see the process as being problematic. that means that we're not voting for the most ironically iconic characters, we're voting to WIN in a bet that means nothing in the end. c'mon. i want that t-shirt to be truly ironically iconic. :)
