How to play
| Object: | To predict which icons will be elected ironically coolest. |
| Winning: | The winner will be the bettor with the highest score. |
| Play: | Before Round 3 begins, each bettor chooses a unique team with four icons, one from each division, by posting his or her choices in the comments. One of these icons is "team captain", who the bettor ultimately thinks will win the tournament. While many bettors may choose the same icons, no two bettors may choose the exact same teams (and the one choosing first will have first crack at her or his "star lineup"). Should a bettor choose an icon or icons that do not make it to Round 3 (ie. a losing icon from this week's or next week's matches - move the mouse over the question marks), that bettor may change her of his choice in that division to another available icon. |
| Scoring: | When icons win a match, they score points equal to the round of the battle (a win in round one scored one point, in round two scored two points, and so on). All players having finished two rounds have three points. In addition, the "team captain" icon scores one additional point for any match that they win. In addition, icons that win a battle in a "squash" (greatest margin of victory in a given week during Round 3, 4, or 5 matches) will earn an additional bonus equal to the number of the round. Icons losing a squash will be penalized points equal to the round number as well. |
